Tactical Laser Tag League Launches Comprehensive Ranking & Career Tracking System
The Tactical Laser Tag League has officially launched a fully integrated ranking and career tracking system, marking the most significant structural upgrade in league history.
Designed to strengthen competitive integrity and elevate long-term player achievement, the new system connects season standings, game results, tournament outcomes, and individual career performance into a single unified framework.
“This isn’t just a stats update,” said League Commissioner Keith DiBuono. “This is infrastructure. It protects the competition and rewards sustained performance over time.”
Every league match now feeds into a structured ranking engine that evaluates not only wins and losses, but team progression, financial management, and strategic performance across the season. Squad standings update through a weighted formula that reflects consistency, execution, and discipline.
At the individual level, the League’s Career Achievement Rating (CAR) system has been fully formalized and expanded.
CAR now tracks a player’s competitive contributions across seasons, including participation, wins, tournament performance, and mission success. Career totals are no longer isolated to a single season, they accumulate and follow players throughout their time in the League.
For the first time, player prestige will be visibly recognized.
Beginning this season, players will earn official prestige patches corresponding to their Career Achievement Rating tiers. These patches are designed to be worn on League-issued LEET shirts, allowing competitors to display their earned status on the field.
Prestige is no longer implied. It is earned, tracked, and visible.
Tournament play has also been fully integrated into the system. Double-elimination brackets, placement bonuses, and championship performance now feed directly into season rankings and career records. Tournament results are permanently archived as part of each squad’s competitive history.
Attendance tracking has been standardized to ensure that only active participants receive official credit. This safeguard protects the accuracy of career records and reinforces accountability at every level of competition.
The result is a structured competitive environment that rewards preparation, leadership, and long-term commitment, not just weekly performance.
The Tactical Laser Tag League, recognized as the longest-running organized TLT League sport in the country, continues to evolve while preserving the integrity that has defined it for nearly two decades.
“This system ensures that what you accomplish here actually matters,” DiBuono said. “Your squad history matters. Your career matters. Your reputation matters.”
Additional enhancements, including expanded squad legacy tracking and cross-season performance recognition, are already in development.
